About People in Need:

Dr. Sally Kissick was known to say "Anyone who comes here is unconditionally accepted. It's not up to us to figure out how they got here. It's up to us to figure out where to go from here." People in Need is a non-profit agency providing mental health outpatient counseling. Dr. Sally Kissick founded the agency in February 1999 with her life savings and a prayer. The mission of People in Need was established on Dr. Kissick's commitment to help people face challenges by creating supportive structures that help individuals and families make positive changes and lead stable lives. Teaching parents their vital and irreplaceable role in their children's lives provides an environment where people find support and encouragement to achieve life's goals. Additionally, her belief was to influence children to want to love, learn, laugh, and work to develop their unique talents. People in Need is a one stop center for social services.
