People In Need is an agency that was founded to help people in our community cope with particular problems areas and various needs. This is accomplished by offering various support programs and social services.

People In Need, “the one stop shop for social services,” is a private non-profit social service agency. When people come here, they may be able to take advantage of a wide range of supportive and therapeutic services including:

The services of People In Need are available to all people of Lawrence County and the surrounding counties regardless of race, sex, national origin, religion, age, political affiliation, creed or handicap.

People In Need participates in most managed care and insurance programs and does accept self pay clients. However, if the client is unable to pay, People In Need uses a pay-by-ability scale to determine the fee, if any.
